Can you say liberal hypocrite?

From North Carolina -

Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Democratic Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said.  The victim, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties..

The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening.

"I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone.. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation."

The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.

In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do As I Say And Not As I Do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. - - - What a classic Liberal hypocrite - - - It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.

It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety is more valuable than yours or mine.

But, this is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.

Well Done Video

Very well done video. Although those that read this site likely did not vote to emplace the current administration, this video, appearing to have been made by a disgruntled liberal, sure captures the anger at the Obama administration. When we have liberals using Tea Party images, then we know that a change is coming.

Notice the selection and coordination of the music with the images and the production - all meant to evoke exactly the feeling the originator desired. Makes you want to stand up and march.

Hitler Finds out that Scott Brown Took Massachusetts

The Stimulus Shell Game Explained

It's a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down, and the streets  are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit...

On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving through town.  He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.

*As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

*The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer.

*The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel.

*The guy at the Farmer's Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local  prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer her "services" on credit.

*The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel owner.

*The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100 bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future with a lot more optimism. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is conducting business today.

Stupid Newt - Stupid Republican Machine

For the life of me I cannot understand why in the world Fox Network has Newt Gingrich (and Karl Rove) on as political commentators, ostensibly as mouthpieces of Conservatism.

I was listening to Newt on the Fox Morning Show (Monday 1/18/10) and in talking of how the Democrats have made mis-steps Gingrich cited the lack of any modification by the Democrats of their proposals so as to to bring Republicans on board and get Republican support.

As example, Gingrich cited the first stimulus, saying that if the Democrats had taken, say a couple billion dollars of that $750 billion and set it aside for Republican programs, then they could have gotten 30% of the Republicans on board and voting with them for the stimulus. [Translation - If the Republicans could have gotten a piece of the graft, then they too would have happily participated in it.]

And Newt, and the Republicans wonder why the people are fed up with the Republican Party and why John McCain did not get elected.

Newt, "your guy" and your party are currently sitting on the sidelines, because for years the people have known that while there is political backscratching and duplicity both by the Democrats and the Republicans that their path of least resistance was to simply endure such shenanigans and try as best they could to get on with their lives.  Never though did the conservative base expect to be sold out so systemically by their own party machine and here in your statement is the proof of what many republican voters have long known - that their party is nothing more that a different version of the Democrats with the only real difference being that the Democrats spend and tax, while the Republicans tax and spend, both parties being on a spending binge and both parties (machines) being bent on an increase in the power and scope of the government because that means an increase in the scope and power of the machine.

When the Republican machine starts talking, not about limiting the growth of government, but instead starts talking about reducing the size and scope of it, then THAT will signal the revival of freedom in America and indeed signal the revival of America.  As it is now, however, a sufficient portion of the Republican voters (like me), knowing that in voting for a Republican they are really voting for a Democrat, will simply sit out the elections or indeed (again like me) will vote for a real Democrat so as to do their part to bring the point home by blocking seats to Republicans until such time as the Republican machine demonstrates that they get it.

Now some may say that I should vote Republican so as to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. To this, I say that voting for the lesser of 2 evils is voting for evil, and that indeed, the reason we have things as we do in government is because it -  Evil or Evil Lite  - is still Evil.

Wish that I would that every person that voted for McCain but were doing so because McCain represented the lesser of 2 evils would have sat out the election. Now THAT would have been a real eye-opener and perhaps would jolt the Republican machine into realizing that that most Republicans were not voting for "their" man, but instead were simply voting against the other guy and realizing that if a stray dog had been posted against Obama then the stray dog would have gotten pretty much the same Republican vote counts. Such a resounding defeat would have sent shock waves through the Republican machine and indeed properly, and well deservedly, run its train off the rails so that another better train, more in line with the ideas of liberty and freedom, could be built to take its place.

As it is now though, no such derailment has occurred and the Republican machine actually chugs along thinking that they speak for those that voted McCain and that the mind of the machine represents the mind of the conservative base. It Doesn't.

For the people, there is a danger in all this however, because if the Republican machine can post a slightly better candidate than the Democrats, then there will be no derailment and that slightly better candidate will swing the election and the Congress to Republican control, but still perpetuate the same corruption in government that both party machines are giving us now  - only this time it will be branded Republican instead of Democrat.

Make no mistake, under the current political system, if you vote for a Republican candidate, you are voting for the Republican machine and until you force the machine to change it will simply use YOU so as to put itself, little unchanged, back into the seat of power.

Some will think that I propose a third party. I do not. What I do propose is taking over the Republican machine from within and using the political primary to do it. This is what the tea parties should try to effect. Will they be able to do it? Only time will tell.

Senator Boxer Gets Her Well Deserved Beat Down

Many of us witnessed the arrogance of Barbara Boxer on June 18, 2009 as she admonished Brigadier General Michael Walsh because he addressed her as "ma'am" and not "Senator" before a Senate hearing.

This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines named Jim Hill. I wonder what he would have said if he were really angry.. Long fly Alaska !!!!!

Babs:

You were so right on when you scolded the general on TV for using the term, "ma'am," instead of "Senator". After all, in the military, "ma'am" is a term of respect when addressing a female of superior rank or position. The general was totally wrong. You are not a person of superior rank or position. You are a member of one of the world's most corrupt organizations, the U.S. Senate, equaled only by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Congress is a cesspool of liars, thieves, inside traders, traitors, drunks (one who killed a staffer, yet is still revered), criminals, and other low level swine who, as individuals (not all, but many), will do anything to enhance their lives, fortunes and power, all at the expense of the People of the United States and its Constitution, in order to be continually re-elected.
Many democrats even want American troops killed by releasing photographs. How many of you could honestly say, "We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor"? None? One? Two?
Your reaction to the general shows several things. First is your abysmal ignorance of all things military. Your treatment of the general shows you to be an elitist of the worst kind. When the general entered the military (as most of us who served) he wrote the government a blank check, offering his life to protect your derrière, now safely and comfortably ensconced in a 20 thousand dollar leather chair, paid for by the general's taxes.. You repaid him for this by humiliating him in front of millions.

Second is your puerile character, lack of sophistication, and arrogance, which borders on the hubristic. This display of brattish behavior shows you to be a virago, termagant, harridan, nag, scold or shrew, unfit for your position, regardless of the support of the unwashed, uneducated masses who have made California into the laughing stock of the nation.

What I am writing, are the same thoughts countless millions of Americans have toward Congress, but who lack the energy, ability or time to convey them. Regardless of their thoughts, most realize that politicians are pretty much the same, and will vote for the one who will bring home the most bacon, even if they do consider how corrupt that person is. Lord Acton (1834 - 1902) so aptly charged, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Unbeknownst to you and your colleagues, "Mr. Power" has had his way with all of you, and we are all the worse for it.

Finally Senator, I, too, have a title. It is "Right Wing Extremist Potential Terrorist Threat." It is not of my choosing, but was given to me by your Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. And you were offended by "ma'am"?

Have a fine day. Cheers!

Haiti but Another Example of the Corrosive Poison of Foreign Aid

Was listening to Bill O'Riley yesterday, and he, in exasperated tone of heightened vexation asked:

Since 1992, the United States has spent $3 billion in aid on Haiti and nothing has been fixed. Today, the people are worse off and the place more corrupt than it was when we started. What is the problem down there? Why isn't the problem fixed?

Like Duh Bill - The reason it isn't fixed is because all those with bleeding hearts keep trying to fix it. When will the United States and its people learn that problems in a foreign country's social fabric have to be "fixed" by the people of the country itself.

Mark my words, we are going to pour money down that rat-hole till the cows come home, all so those that take our money so as to give it to others can go to sleep at night feeling oh so compassionate.

For those of you that watch Star Trek, to avoid things like this (propagation of helplessness/poverty/corruption by "helping" ) is the reason for the Prime Directive, which is to NOT interfere with the natural progression of any alien society, no matter how much that society's defects strain at one's heartstrings society from learing lessons it MUST learn so as to be able to discern reality from anti-reality.

Those Murdering Quakes

From AFP ......
On Wednesday, Obama ordered a "swift, coordinated and aggressive effort to save lives," in Haiti following the murderous quake, as a massive US aid mission swung into action, using troops, naval forces, aircraft and rescue teams. [emphasis added]

Yeah - let's bring those earthquakes up on criminal charges before the world court and then stick them in gitmo for their murdering ways. This is how the soft mind of a liberal works, take a word and misuse it.

What's next? An attempt to define marriage as being something other than the definition of marriage with its  man+woman requirement? Or, maybe an attempt to say that people don't murder people, guns do?

11 Year Old that Gets It.

Gee, this girl may even come to understand that all liberty and freedom is based on my right to exclude others from taking or using my property. Remember, the first draft of that pesky Declaration of Independence  said "..  life, liberty, and property... ".

Islam: Bringing the 11th Century Soon to a Neighborhood Near You?

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well..

Here's how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

United States -- Muslim 0..6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.
This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

>From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

>From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of nonbelievers of all other religions (including nonconforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is ongoing in:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates far exceed the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers.. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.

No Experience Necessary

Hey, did you happen to catch Glenn Beck's show the other day? He had a graph up that showed past presidents and the percentage of each president's cabinet appointees who had previously worked in the private sector. You know, a real life business, not a government job? Remember what that is? A private business???

Here are the numbers -

Roosevelt - 38%

Taft - 40%

Wilson - 52%

Harding - 49%

Coolidge - 48%

Hoover - 42%

FDR - 50%

Truman - 50%

Eisenhower - 57%

Kennedy - 30%

LBJ - 47%

Nixon - 53%

Ford - 42%

Carter - 32%

Reagan - 56%

GHWB - 51%

Clinton - 39%

GWB - 55%

And the Winner is..........................

Obama - 8%

No wonder none of this administration's policies make any economic sense.

CO2 Silliness

Was sent this link concerning The Amazing Story Behind the Global Warming Scam

As for Climate Change - I am an engineer and my brethren and I have been designing for climate change ever since that first engineer whacked off that saber-tooth tiger and made himself a coat. Next came the cave, and after that came homes with heating and air conditioning ...and raincoats. All designed to handle "Climate Change".

A side note - As an engineer I am appalled that an entire cadre of those that are trained in the solidness of math and science and the rejection of false prophets, have fallen for this hoax.

The only way I can explain it is that there is too much money in the promulgation of the hoax and that it represents a way for for the "Climate Normalcy Deniers" to redistribute wealth into their pockets at the expense of others. Thus it is that we have for example the American Society of Civil Engineers, despite the outcry of those of us willing to stand above the pack, issuing stupidly conceived and irrational letters of support for Climate Change initiatives .... initiatives that will result in creation of work projects for them. But hey who cares, in 1939 there was money to be made building boxcars. (For my younger readers that have been educated in the post 1980's modern school 1939 refers to the Nazi industrialists that build the boxcars for the transport of the Jews to the ovens.)

About Time

Looks like this fellow subscribes to the philosophy of:
What's mine is Mine; What's yours is Yours ...and, most important of all ... What's Mine is Not Yours - regardless of how much better a place/use you think you can find for my money than I can.
Gee, imagine that.

Do these donkeys and elephants in DC not get it? It will be good if in 2010 the people help them to get it.  However, regime change needs to occur in both the donkey and the elephant pens, and indeed, a growing portion of the American People are starved and looking for a different kind of animal altogether, because the donkeys and elephants keep stinking up the zoo.

Notice how this fellow isn't talking about  or against a political party - he is talking about the cancer and the culture of corruption that is growing in DC and also taken root at the state and local levels - the cancer of an ever encroaching government that is out of touch with the people and out of touch with the Constitution and the morality that created it in the first place. A government and political party system that has figured out that to get votes and stay in power, you create entitlement and largess so as to result in faction amongst the piglets grunting at the trough of the government entitlement.

Once that faction has taken hold, then you pit the factions against each other in a struggle to get "theirs", for with faction,  as long as one can get "theirs" then the natural human tendency is to not care about the impact on anybody else - unless that affects your amount of handout.

Thus it is that the farmer will never vote for anybody that wants to do away with the redistribution of wealth that is coming courtesy of the federal government into his pocket (think farm subsidy).

Thus it is that the wool produces of Texas will work against anybody that wants to do away with their mohair subsidy.

Thus it is that anybody that has stocks and bonds will work against anybody that threatens to change the tax structure of their capital gains.

Thus it is that the older people that are on or looking to that Social Security check will vote against anyone that threatens to reduce their take (of money that is rightfully theirs by virtue of it being forcibly taken from them in the first place).

Thus it is that those who get a subsidy from wind power (a pipe dream), solar power (another pipe dream), driving around in battery-cars ( a bigger resource drain that gas powered cars), will always tell you of the necessity of "their" industry or endeavor, when in fact the necessity is their necessity of that subsidy which is the real reason for their endeavor in the first place.

Thus it is that those having Roth IRA will always vote against anybody who is perceived to threaten their "take" from application of the Roth rules, and are unconcerned if everybody else has to burn in hell as long as the get "theirs".

Thus it was that when the Gestapo came knocking at the other end of the hall, the remainder remained quiet as long as they could continue to "get theirs".
Thus for his own pocket it is that the "community organizer"  organizes. (And you all thought it was about the "community".)

Such struggle then, keeping things ever in motion with neighbor pitted against neighbor, so that the central manipulator can do as it desires.

Quite frankly, I fear that in 2010 there will indeed be a regime change, but that it will only to give us the other side of the same coin and that if ushered into office, the "Conservatives" will continue their own brand of using the machinery of the government, and the police power of the State, to re-direct "benefits" and legislation to their friends and cronies (think Republicans Lamar Smith, John Cornyn & Kay Hutchison voting FRO the TARP) , instead of working to dismantle all the feel-good entitlement machinery and subsidy (think Alexander Hamilton and Progressivism and Social Re-Engineering)  that has been put in place over the last 100 years.
