We have all heard presidential candidate Trump talk about immigration and his plans for those here illegally. For the red meat crowd, his pronouncements are like a juicy T-bone greedily consumed in a frenzy of mindless chomping , yet amid all the clawing and scratching as the people devour his rhetoric, and thereby sate their emotional appetite to “do something”, one has to wonder if the agitated crowd has really heard beyond what they simply wanted to hear.

Do these teeming masses of nationalist flag wavers ( and I am not saying that nationalist flag wavers are bad, it was simply thrown in there to get your attention) understand what Trump really means when he says he will deport those that are here illegally, and furthermore, do understand what he means when he says that those that enter the country are going to do so legally?

Do they understand that Trump’s understanding of what he is saying is not what their understanding is of what he is saying?

Folks, as you are munching away on your steak dinner, consider and contemplate that Consulates and Embassies are sovereign territory. For example, Mexico’s consulate in San Antonio is MEXICAN Territory. You step into that Consulate and you are in Mexico.

Next consider that after Trump is elected, he will issue a directive to create an American Immigration Adjustment Program (AIAP). He will then issue a directive to Homeland/INS to create rules and procedures to document and process illegals for deportation under his AIAP.

He will also issue a proclamation to the public that all those illegally in the United States are to report to a U.S. administrative facility, such as a post office, etc., to fill our paperwork for the executive-order-created American Immigration Adjustment Program. The paperwork will consist of biographical information and other information such as length of time in the U.S., any American children, job history, criminal and civil legal history, driving record, economic status and savings, etc.

Once this information if gathered , each applicant will be background checked. They will then be issued a final order of removal, and be told to report to their nearest consulate or embassy, or to go to the Mexican side of an authorized crossing/entry point. Once they are at the embassy or consulate/or entry point, and having steeped one foot into Mexico to “dry out”, they are on Mexican soil, and have therefore been deported. Thus it is that Trump will fulfill his deportation promise using the same idea of “drying out” that has been used before.

Now that the deportation part of the law (and Trump’s promise) has been fulfilled, each applicant who has no criminal history of objectionable nature, has kids, a job, etc,. based on some sort of priority scheme, will be given legal entry to the United States with a visa or a green card (with worker authorization, of course) with instruction to keep your nose clean and report to the nearest immigration probation office monthly. A proviso will be added that if they are charged with a crime, then they will be removed, and their funds in the bank frozen ( see below), with some other penalty - perhaps forfeiture of a bond. All this to keep them motivated to keep clean.

All this deportation and re-entry may be done easily under the presidential immigration pardon or attorney general pardon provisions already in the existing immigration law which allows unlimited pardon/waiver in immigration matters.

In this way then, entry will be legal ( indeed ,there need be no new laws made as all this is already possible under existing law), and Trump will have kept his promise that people enter this country legally.

Back to the work permit - This will be a special permit having a provision that all the re-entrants money must be deposited to a United States participating bank which will track income and outflows, and be used as a tracking and control device. Any employer paying under the table will be fined big bucks, AND, whistle blowers from the new entrants will be encouraged by a bounty to turn in offending employers that do not comply with these deposit and tracking provisions. Indeed, to beef up to program certain whistle-blowers will get to have their green card upgraded to allow a fast track path to citizenship.

After all this is disclosed, American will howl and scream, because although they heard Trump use the words deport and enter legally, it has never have crossed their minds to listen more carefully, and thus they never have put the two together that the people allowed to enter legally were going to be many of the same ones just deported.

They also did not care to read Donald Trump’s, and his son Eric Trump’s, statements to media as to the fact that, for the most part, the same people deported by his father would be the same ones that legally re-entered. (From articles in the Washington Post December 15th, 2015, and RedState December 6th, 2015, respectively.)

Trump will shrug and take the position that it is not his problem that people do not listen. Indeed, he is counting on it.

For both the presidential and vice presidential debates they should have all of the candidates "wired".... They could be hooked up to a lie detector that will give out shocks upon receiving a deceitful or untrue answer. By the end of each debate it would look like a couple of "Irish step dancers"
Could not have said it better myself.Publiushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08948284580440075537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8520376537289875292.post-414215518387852932012-09-27T11:14:00.001-05:002012-09-27T11:14:38.957-05:00OT - Regarding Engineers - Is this really true? Here is a transcript from a radio talk show. The caller was trying to explain WHY a politician seemed to be so clueless ...

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> CALLER: The reason I'm calling is, I got a little different take on Akin and, you know, why he didn't back out. You know, I was doing like most other people. I was extremely angry. I'm listening to his interview yesterday, he seemed clueless and everything, but let me set this up for about five seconds.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">I'm in sales, and what hit me when I was listening to him is when he said he's an engineer. And, you know what? I'm in sales right now. When I can get someone emotionally involved, I've got a huge chance of success. And whenever I run into an engineer, I'm in a dead end, 'cause you cannot get them emotionally involved; they're strictly looking at it analytically, and you just can't get 'em to make a decision.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">And I see this guy as, you know what, he's an engineer, he's looking at, you know what, I just made one mistake, one little misstep, and to him that's such a small percentage of anything he's ever... that he can even comprehend. He can't comprehend the emotional aspect of this situation and how it can possibly affect this thing down the road.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">RUSH: Well --

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">CALLER: He's looking at it as an engineer, and it's just like beating your head against the wall trying to get through to this man.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">RUSH: Yeah, wait a second. In addition to being an engineer he's a Marine and he's a politician. He's been a politician for a lot of years. He's in the Missouri House of Representatives and he certainly understands politics.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">CALLER: Absolutely.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">RUSH: He's got to be able to reach people on a certain emotional level to get their votes.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">CALLER: Well, I agree with you there. I just think this is ingrained in him, though. I mean when he said it, it struck a chord with me, and all I could see is so many engineers I sit down with, and you can't get 'em emotionally involved. And this is a huge emotional issue.

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">RUSH: Well, one thing that I will agree with you on, I probably would understand this. He, no doubt, thinks that he worked damn hard to get this far, and, you're right, I think, in his mind, "Hey, I misspoke. Big deal."

Well, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to look over this cartoon from Chicago Tribune from 1934 and see the similarities to the politics that is being practiced nowadays.Note the text on the sign at the lower left.

In another post on this blog, I mention the discussion I had with Mitt Romney when he walked into a local Starbucks with presumably his advance team. My question to him was if in his opinion the people (the demographic of younger people such as those at the Starbucks) had any idea of what was in store for them. He stated emphatically "They have absolutely no idea."

Do we think they and many other Americans know now what is in store, or do they still believe the likes of Glenn Back and Ron Paul are screaming crazy alarmists? Where will all the non-believers be when it comes to pass. Will they run and hide like roaches. Will ANYBODY be found who will admit that they were the ones thinking Paul and Beck were crazy?

<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">9/1/2012
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">Obama would make permanent the American Opportunity tax credit, created as part of his 2009 economic stimulus program. The credit provides up to $2,500 a year per student for college costs but is due to expire Jan. 1. Renewing it would cost an estimated $13 billion next year alone.

Says one college student to the other, "Oh, what the heck, 13 Billion here, 13 Billion there. Small change, as long as I can get my education at the other guys expense.

You see folks, this is how the STATE does it. It gives each of us a little piece of the pie and then once at the public trough, we are wont to leave it, coming up with all sorts of justifications why OUR feeding/"need" is appropriate but the other persons isn't.

BTW - the article also mentions how the average tuition cost went up about $ 8000 last year. Gee, go figure, the government prints and gives away free money and the prices of things goes up. Of course spending goes up when the money is "free".

One should be thinking about this seriously.

I'm sending this because I know you are bright and I care about you.

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called "Gonorrhea Lectim." It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect em" and it is a terrible Obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum.

Many victims contracted it in 2008...But now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-3 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose now and the second dose in Nov. 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.

You may want to pass this important message on to all those bright folks you really care about.
Fox News wanted some input as to what folks thought.

Well, having been stirred out of my complacent slumber here goes .....

I understand perfectly what Biden was talking about. What he was talking about was that if the Republicans do not jettison the likes of Karl Rove and the other establishment hacks that are paraded on Fox, then we are going to lose big time in the next election. Guys like Rove will be FOREVER associated with GEORGE BUSH and that connection gives Democrats a free tool to use against ANY Republican candidate.

On those "independent" voters ....... I am one of those independents, and if I have to have Barrak Obama for another 4 years so as to teach the Republicans a lesson, then I am all for it.

I am ashamed of what used to be my party. They have sold out and they need to wake up and represent ME and millions of other just like me that are tired of the Republican lock-step that simply parrots the same repackaged brand of Big Government that we hear from the Democrats.

The true colors of the Republicans were shown by the TARP bailout bill, where ALL, count em ALL of my delegation from Texas( Cornyn, Smith, Hutchison) voted FOR this massive pork initiative that did nothing but give Democrats the open door to tax and spend ... and to win the next election. How do you whine and complain about bailouts to GM when you gave bailouts to the banks. It seems that everybody in on the government dole, they just use different hands to take it (from me).

On another note, many of the Republicans that I have spoken with do not get this point. When the TARP is brought up, because it was done by a Republican administration, then they defend the thing and quit reading my blog. When I mention , "Hey how about paying for your own darned medical bills, brought along because of natural old age, or because of choices you made earlier as to lifestyle, or simply brought along by life's chances, they give me the look which says they are ENTITLED to their piece of the pie. What hypocrisy, folks running around whining about the other guy and how he is stealing pie, when they have a mouthful of pie crust themselves.

Well, guess what? The chickens have come home to roost in Barrak Obama. That Barrack Obama is at 46% approval rating right now after what he and the Democrats have done to the country is appalling.

Do the Republicans not get it? Makes me want to VOMIT.

Smith to Vote for Budget Control Act ARRRGGGG

Washington, Jul 29 -

Congressman Lamar Smith will today vote for the Budget Control Act of 2011. This bill would cut federal spending by more than the debt ceiling is increased. NO It will not

“The United States is facing a fiscal crisis, caused by excessive government spending. The federal government is now borrowing 42 cents for every dollar it spends. No family, no community, no business, no country can afford to do that.

“I have long believed in fiscal responsibility. BALONEY I was a member of the Budget Committee when we achieved the first balanced budget in over twenty years. I have co-sponsored balanced budget amendments to the Constitution. And I have voted against raising the debt limit in the past.

“I support this legislation because it meets two important goals – it cuts spending by more than it raises the debt ceiling and it doesn’t raise taxes. Tax increases have never created jobs. This is the first battle in a long war on reckless government spending. We must continue to put restraints on future spending. This bill is a step in the right direction though many more steps are needed.”

No Lamar - It will not cut spending - You sold out the voters again. You know how the people will know that the situation in Washington is turning around??? When the Republicans in your own District 21 post a candidate against YOU in your own primary.

The Budget Control Act of 2011:
· Requires the House and Senate to vote on a balanced budget amendment before the end of the year.

· Saves $917 billion over ten years, and raises the debt ceiling by less –$900 billion. BALONEY

· Includes no tax hikes. Nawww - Just fuels inflation and devaluation of the dollar

· Creates a Joint Committee of Congress that is required to report legislation that would reduce federal spending by another $1.8 trillion over 10 years. FAT Chance - Just what we need in Washington another fuc*&^ing committeePubliushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08948284580440075537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8520376537289875292.post-34428740364675742132011-07-20T10:43:00.000-05:002011-07-20T10:43:17.079-05:00My Conversation with BillBill XXX

Born- 1927
Enlisted in the Army - at 17 years old (1944)
Served in Europe in a Combat Unit

Met him at a Local Starbucks 7/19/2011

In he comes, the man with a cane and pushing a shopping cart, which he parks outside the entrance to the local Starbucks. Hobbling over to the barrista, he orders up a venti vanilla latte, and then proceeds to shuffle over and sit down in the overstuffed chair next to me. I took a look at him and figured that he was about my moms age (85), and because of that I wondered if he had ever served in World War II.

Now, for those know me, also know that I am not shy about striking up a conversation with total strangers. In this instance, however, I hesitated. I was not sure why. Perhaps it was because many of the older people that I try and talk to, seem to have lost it, or are hiding it, perhaps figuring that all the young people like me (55) simply have to learn about the world on our own. Or perhaps they think that we would not be interested.

After a while, however, the old man begins to talk to me. Speaking as clearly as any 30 year old, he tells me that he is 83 and that he came in to get a coffee for his wife and was taking a rest before crossing the street back to his house. Somewhere in the conversation he mentioned that when he was in the Army (my ears perking up now) they drank coffee all the time, but did not have anything like Starbucks. He also said that he used to drink a lot of beer too - but that was when he was young.

Alerting on his introduction of the Army into the discussion, I took my shot and asked him where he was stationed. Whereupon he told me his story.

“Oh yeah, I was in the army, I was a runner for General Patton in Germany during World War II. I enlisted when I was 17, and was shipped over there real soon. I was in the infantry, and was supposed to be in a foxhole, but somehow the Army found out that I was a long distance runner and that I had been doing that since I was a little kid.

They also discovered that I had a good memory, and after that, they assigned me as a runner ( and I mean that literally) to carry messages back and forth between General Patton and the other combat units during the fighting in Germany.

It wasn’t like it is nowadays, where you have radios and all that stuff. It was a situation where actual messages from one commander to another several miles away had to be read, committed to memory, and then delivered in person by a guy like me - a runner. Not only that, we had to memorize three messages - exactly. One of them was the real message, and the other two were fake messages so that if we got captured by the Germans we could give them a fake message.

To deliver a message meant we had to head out cross country in the direction of the other unit, and actually navigate through the combat zone during the fighting. Because a fighting line is not something straight, we had to travel behind enemy lines in order to reach our units on the other side. Because of this, we traveled in peasant clothes so as to not draw enemy attention. We also had to travel across our own units who were fighting with the Germans and so we never knew when we were going to be shot by Germans, or our own soldiers.

During one of those message runs, our squad came under attack by a German unit and we were pinned down pretty good. There was no way it looked like we could hold out, and so, our new 90-day Lieutenant, fresh from the States, told us that it was no use and that we had to surrender. We did not want to surrender as we were afraid of what the Germans would do to us, but the Lt. insisted. It was at this point we told him to go on ahead for himself if he wanted to be the first to try out his idea.

So then, up out of our position he went to surrender, where he was immediately shot dead by the Germans. After that we (all 12 of us) were captured by the Germans. After our capture, they stood us in a line, with me standing at the end, and proceeded to shoot us dead, one-by-one, right down the line. Now, we had one of our guys who was some sort of Indian, and he did not speak very well, but he was kind of a big fella, and when they shot the man next to him, he fell down as if he had been shot, and in doing so the knocked me to the ground. My helmet came off, and the German officer in charge, after having his men get the Indian back up and shoot him dead along with the other 11 of my squad, saw my blond hair and blue eyes and asked “Sind Sie Dutsch?”, to which I replied in my bad German that indeed I was German. Hell, if he had asked if I was Japanese, I would have agreed to that too.

And so it was, that out of all 12 of us, plus our Lieutenant, I was the only one that lived. I was sent to a POW camp, and about 4 months later, when the Germans had to retreat, I was liberated from the POW camp.”

At this point, I asked, just to make sure I heard him right, if me meant that all of his buddies were stood up and shot dead right in front of him like ducks in a row.

“Sure, we were shot dead just like that. It was a war, and that was the way things were done. We did the same things on our side, and the Germans were just doing what you do in war. You can’t have a bunch of captured soldiers bogging you down in a combat zone with bullets flying all around, and everybody on each side knew that.”

After a reflective pause, he continues .....

“Yeah, after that, I was sent down to Dachau. You know Dachau don’t you? The camp had been liberated by that time, but all the prisoners were still there because there was noplace else to put them, and it was just a horrible situation.”

Another reflective pause ......

“And you know, many years later, that German Officer wrote me a letter telling me that his daughter was getting married and inviting me to the wedding. He sent me a plane ticket and money for all my costs to come.”
You mean, the same guy who had all your fellow soldiers killed, invited you to the wedding, and that you had kept in touch with him.??

“Sure - he and his soldiers were simply following their orders, and that was just the way it was in war. It is not all sweetness and nice in a war.”

So you went to the wedding?

“Sure I went.” “ Now I think also he wanted to hook me up with his sister, but that never happened.”

And thereafter our conversation turned to other things.Publiushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08948284580440075537noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8520376537289875292.post-52603771604355727942011-07-18T17:16:00.002-05:002011-07-19T08:57:34.639-05:00Never Give an Ape an AK47Reminds me of what has happened to the United States Economy after Obama was given the presidencyPubliushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08948284580440075537noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8520376537289875292.post-73313497613162041472011-07-12T11:25:00.000-05:002011-07-12T11:25:07.579-05:00Debt Ceiling CommentaryI saw this in a headline this morning
These people in Washington and extending all the way down to the local government - regardless of party - , think that we exist for them and that all money really belongs to those that pull the levers of government.Publiushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08948284580440075537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8520376537289875292.post-61924436682539139362011-06-23T12:46:00.002-05:002011-06-23T18:06:58.178-05:00What's Worse - The Government or The Doctor?I just got off the phone with “Julie” in Medical Records at a local doctors office. She called to see if there was anybody they needed to contact to get records from prior to my upcoming doctor’s visit.

[Props to this doctor having his staff to do this beforehand. Sounds like they are running their practice as a business.]

She asked if I had any primary care physician (to which they should send or get records from), and I explained that I do not, and that this is on purpose. I continued, telling her that the “on purpose” part is that it is so darned difficult to get a doctor’s appointment in any reasonable time (no, 4 weeks is not reasonable), and then, after getting an appointment for a visit, say, at 9am, to be left waiting until the doctor gets around to seeing me which is almost NEVER at 9 am, or any reasonable time thereafter.

I told her that I am a businessman and my time is valuable too, and that while others may put up with such treatment, I do not. I further continued, saying that it is unacceptable for a doctor to not manage their practice and see people within a reasonable time, and that when I encounter such things, I get up and leave.

You see folks, while all of you are thinking such things, I just happen to be one of those that talks about it. (And one that would rather bleed to death than wait 2 hours on a doctor that can’t keep to a reasonable schedule) BTW - Can you imagine any other profession doing this?? Can you imagine what Southwest Airlines would look like financially if they engaged in such practices??

And NO, I do not want to hear about how the doctor can’t determine in advance how delayed he will become because that each patient needs variable amounts of time. That is a load of crap. Doctors generally do not give any patient the time they need, and the modern doctors office is all according to the doctor’s needs (or the doctors business ignorance) and not the needs of the patient. To prove it have YOU ever tried to “stay” with your doctor over YOUR 15 minutes of allotted time or tried to give your doctor your list of questions, or even tried to have a free-form discussion with your doctor?

No? Well, just try it sometime, and see how you are herded out or how your doctor gets fidgety and starts ushering you to the door.

Regardless of this excuse about not knowing how much time each patient may need, the doctor is supposed to be running a business, and it is his job to “load plan” with extra float time/capacity, so that the lettuce is not left waiting in the heat to wilt because he wants to cram 12 patients into a morning according to a 15 min per patients so as to maximize HIS income. What part of the “Do No Harm” does the profession not understand?

Doctors of the world, do you not realize that there are people out there that detest you because of how you treat them like cattle? Sure, you can get away with it, and perhaps that is why you continue to do it, but that does not make it right. In addition, do you not realize that there are those that would pay more for better service?? Do you not realize that there are those that will eventually try to use the government to force you to pay a fine each time you are late in seeing a patient?

Back to the beginning of this story, I then asked “Julie”, if they had gotten yet the records off a remote monitor device that they had wanted me to wear. She, after all the preceding. told me she did not know ...... and that I would have to call back and ask somebody else in the office if they had gotten them.

Wait ... SHE is in medical records, and now in typical doctor’s office illogic and arrogance wants ME to waste MY time to call her office back and speak to someone else about M..E..D...I..C..A..L R..E..C..O..R..D..S.????

As you can imagine, I went ballistic on this and told her that I am not going to spend MY time calling them back and that it was THEY that needed to call ME.

Follow Up - to their credit I got a call a short time later and they report that they did get those records. But that is not the point is it?
“Gawd man, I have never done drugs, but this must be what cocaine feels like.” So said me, the guy cramming another bite of one of Chef Kris Martinez’s Rocker Dogz into my mouth.

Never in a million years would I have thought such a thing existed - out of a club vendor’s food cart no less, but that is exactly the way it went down Friday Night at the Lava Lounge on N. St Marys Street in San Antonio, where I was doing photographic coverage on the wild and crazy Beyond the Canvas Body Painting event.

At first, I was just trying to get the lay of the club while waiting for the painter’s models to show up, and after I made the circuit, I wandered back to the front, where I struck up a conversation with Kris Martinez, who turned out to be the owner of Rocker Dogz.

He was dressed in a white chef's-jacket, looking like he just stepped out of one of those Food and Wine magazines, and he was standing in from of his stainless steel vendor cart. At first, I wondered what that was all about - I mean usually when I see a club vendor they are dressed pretty much like me when I think nobody is looking. (Think tatters and tears with grease spots on the tee shirt.)

Being a curious sort, as we street scene photographers are, and asking what kind of "drug" he was pushing from the cart, and looking for a shot (photograph opportunity), he replied “Gourmet Hot Dogs”. Aww come on, I thought, a gourmet hot dog? That was like me telling viewers on my Facebook profile that I look like Tom Cruise.

We talked a bit and while doing so, Chris offered to fix me up one of his Rocker Dogz. I declined, saying that I did not want to get all filled up before the photo shoot at the club. He insisted, saying that he would do it just to show me what it looked like. I replied OK, go ahead and I can see if it makes for a street scene shot.
Hummmm ... This looks like a good sign is what was going thru my head. Next, he lays in a plump dog having some sort of glaze to it, and then what does he do but start putting on some Thai red cabbage slaw, some pickled things that turned out to be pickled Serrano peppers, and then laying into the top of it with some sort of dressing.

Presenting it to me, all wrapped in its foil boat, he said "Here it is the Thai Kick Boxer Rocker". Seeing as how he had gone to all that trouble .......I took it, sat my camera aside, wrapped down the foil a bit, and plowed ahead.

What struck me was an unbelievable combination of tangy sauce, the crunch of the cabbage and then the taste of the dog spices and glaze. After that first bite, I took another, and just then I was starting to feel the heat from the pickled serranos. Thereafter, the tastes got even better.Holding that dog and looking at it, shaking my head, and licking the drool off my chin I blurted out to Kris the lead to this story ...“Gawd man, I have never done drugs, but this must be what cocaine feels like.”

Big smile on his face he says ... I told you so. Man was he right.
