Employers with more than 50 workers could face big penalties even if they are trying to do the right thing by offering health insurance to their workers. For example, they could be fined $2,000 per worker if they fail to follow Washington's rules in providing "affordable" coverage.

Companies are required to calculate whether their health plans meet Washington's afford ability test by determining each employee's household income, not just what they are paying the worker. To say this presents a significant challenge is an understatement. But if employers fail, they could face fines of $100,000 or more.

Uh, sorry, my company has no business knowing what my “household income” is! More tyranny!

On Charitable Contributions

OK, I admit it, sometimes I am slow on the uptake, and I confess that it took me a while to understand the implications of the Obama proposal to eliminate the tax deduction on charitable contributions.

Here is the reason Obama wants to do this - Obama is a collectivist and he wants NOTHING to come but through the government. The entire thrust of his Administration is to complete the attachment of the people to the government so that the citizens are reduced to a people of the government, rather than a government of the people. For this reason, he must sever all connection of the people to any entity other than the government.

You are Powerful?

Because you live in a mud hut, is this how you are powerful?

Because the society in which you live has not, in the 2000 years it has been around, been able to create a societal system such that you can live in something other than a mud hut?

Because your country is ridden by disease, poverty, starvation, warfare, illiteracy, tribal fighting where your brothers and sisters are hacked to death in the still of the night by machetes,
and a host of other things indicative of the very lack of power?

Because you have your picture posted as part of a campaign for others to send you money?

Yeah, Right. You Are "Powerful".
